The Foundation's mission is to promote fire science research and facilitate development of improved engineering methods.

I recommend that you download the 2005 Arthur B. Guise award lecture Podcast and the accompanying power point presentation. It provides insight to development of the SFPE Hand Book of Fire Protection Engineering which is an important element of the Legacy of our generation of fire protection engineers to future generations. Mr. DiNenno also provides insight to the potential future advancements that we can achieve through corporative research that the Foundation can facilitate.

To facilitate continuing research, the Foundation needs your support. The Foundation is funded solely by contributions from our members, chapters and corporate supporters. I urge you to support the Foundation by making a contribution while renewing your Society dues or anytime through the SFPE website. Additional information is included in you dues notice.
