Hotel Information:  The SFPE Professional Development Conference and Exposition:  The Annual Meeting will be held at the Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, 2800 Coliseum Centre Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217.  The hotel phone number is (704) 357-1414.  The SFPE room rate is $159.00 single/double, plus applicable taxes.

Reservations made after Friday, September 19, 2008 is based on room availability.  Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations.  When making your reservations, please state that you are part of the SFPE Professional Development Conference and Exposition.  To make your reservations by calling the hotel directly at (704) 357-1414.

Travel

The Renaissance Charlotte Suites is conveniently located in the heart of Charlotte and easily accessible from the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. A complimentary shuttle from the airport is available simply by calling the hotel (704) 357-1414.

From the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport:
Exit the airport on Billy Graham Parkway South, following the I-77 sign. Travel 1.5 miles on Billy Graham Parkway to the Tyvola Road Exit. Take the first left onto Yorkmont Road and turn right onto Coliseum Centre Drive.

From Greensboro:
Travel on I-85 south to Charlotte. Take Exit 33, Billy Graham Parkway South to the Charlotte Coliseum. Exit at Tyvola Road and take the first left on Yorkmont Road. Turn right onto Coliseum Centre Drive.

From Columbia:
Travel north on I-77 to Charlotte. Take Exit 5, Tyvola Road, west into the Coliseum area. Turn right on Yorkmont and right again on Coliseum Centre Drive.

Area Attractions

The Renaissance Charlotte Suites puts you right in the heart of the region’s unique attractions, including several professional sports venues. The Bank of the America Stadium, home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers NFL team, is just a short drive away, as well as the Charlotte Bobcats Arena, home of NBA basketball. Lowe’s Motor Speedway and the Richard Petty Driving Experience are conveniently nearby, as well.

For great family fun, enjoy a day at Paramount’s Carowinds amusement park, or explore the halls of the Discovery Place and catch a show in its enormous IMAX Theater. The hotel is near the Charlotte Nature Museum, Charlotte Mint Museum and just moments from the events of the Charlotte Convention Center.
